DCEDC Launches New Website

The Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) recently launched a new website at www.doorcountybusiness.com. The new site, created by Boettcher Communications of Sturgeon Bay, incorporates significant improvements over the prior DCEDC site, including search functionality, social media links and other Web 2.0 interactivity.

“This new site will help us communicate the Door County business story in a much more effective manner,” said DCEDC Executive Director Bill Chaudoir. “By including things like an updateable home page, video and photo galleries, and downloadable brochures, we can give people the information they need to make the decision to locate or expand a business in Door County. Using social media like facebook and LinkedIn, we are able to establish and maintain an ongoing dialog with people who are interested in business opportunities on the peninsula. Additionally, I am thrilled that we were able to use a local service provider, with fantastic results.”

“It was a pleasure working with DCEDC on their new website,” said Dina Boettcher, President of Boettcher Communications. “From concept to completion, they were the ideal client and made our job so easy!  I’m confident that this new site will provide current Door County business owners and those considering a business move to our county, the information and tools necessary for growth.”

The new site also features a calendar of coming events related to economic development, area demographic statistics, photos of spaces available in the Business Development Center (business incubator) and links to DCEDC-sponsored projects such as the recently launched Door County Buy Local initiative.

Boettcher Communications is a full service marketing agency located in downtown Sturgeon Bay specializing in website development, graphic design and social media management. Boettcher Communications’ goal is to set a positive example in the community by being a business that operates by the highest professional, philanthropic and ethical standards.
