Grow Door County – A Workforce for the Future
DCEDC recently unveiled a new, four-year, comprehensive workforce development plan, Grow Door County – A Workforce for the Future
, at a September 2016 Business & Education Partnership Summit. We are grateful to the more than 90 business, education and community leaders who attended the summit and participated in the small group discussions. We also appreciate that over 100 people responded to our brief pre-summit survey.
We are pleased to share the slides from the summit presenters and survey results, along with highlights from the summit and the responses from small discussion groups that tried to identify the challenges confronting businesses and schools to grow our local workforce.
The Grow Door County – A Workforce for the Future workforce development plan includes three thematic initiatives:
- “Inspired” Business & Education Partnerships
- Employee recruitment and retention
- Workforce housing development
We are asking the Door County business community to join us in our efforts to build and sustain a workforce in our community. We encourage you to invest in DCEDC
and volunteer on one of our working committees. Together we can Grow Door County
