8:30 am Business Counseling Sessions

DCEDC and the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center will be offering free, one-on-one business counseling sessions for any new or existing business owners in Door County.

Chuck Brys, Business Counselor for the Small Business Development Center, will be providing advice on business planning, financing and other issues. Brys is a CPA and former Chief Financial Officer for several Wisconsin companies, with over 30 years of business experience and knowledge to share with local entrepreneurs.

Individual, confidential sessions will be held at the Door County Business Development Center, 185 East Walnut Street, Sturgeon Bay. An appointment is required and can be made by contacting Cindy Wick at 920-743-3113 x 200 or via e-mail at cindy@ doorcountybusiness.com.

5:30 pm Buy Local Mixer

The Door County Buy Local Steering Committee is holding a Door County BUY LOCAL Mixer on Tuesday, February 7th, 5:30-7pm at Pine Crest Village, 1241 North 18th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. The event will feature  a presentation on “Timely Tax Tips” from Baylake Bank Trust Officer Inge Bacon and will also provide an update about the status and activities of the Buy Local program. 

 The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Buy Local initiative in Door County. There will be food and beverages available; attendees are asked to make a $5 donation to help defray costs. The Door County Buy Local program is a grass-roots economic development initiative that seeks to strengthen local businesses, increase employment opportunities and educate the public about the importance of buying locally whenever possible.

8:00 am Northern Door Office Hours
DCEDC will continue to offer regular office hours through the winter and spring for new and existing business owners in Northern Door County, providing business counseling and entrepreneurial services in Sister Bay. Individual, confidential sessions will be held the second Tuesday of each month, from 8am until Noon at the Sister Bay Fire Station, 2258 Mill Road. An appointment is requested and can be made by contacting Sam Perlman at 920-743-3113 x 204 or via e-mail at sam@doorcountybusiness.com. Walk-ins are also welcome, based on availability.
DCEDC Economic Development Manager Sam Perlman offers free, one-on-one business counseling sessions, providing advice on business planning, financing, business incentives and other issues. As a member of the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network, DCEDC also has the ability to tap into the expertise of the statewide support network to help find solutions to business issues and questions.
